What fees do we charge?

Enrolled Patient Fees

The way that central government funding is applied to patient subsidies is changing.  This has had an impact on our pricing and so we have revised our fees accordingly.  There are two major changes for our patients.  Firstly all visits for under 13’s are now free for both ACC & Medical consultations for registered patients.   Secondly we now have a patient access subsidy that applies only to eligible patients.  A patient’s eligibility for this subsidy is determined by the District Health Board, who notify us which patients are eligible. We then apply the subsidy accordingly.

Patient Charges – effective 1st July 2015
Medical     Registered patients
Eligible
Under 13 years     Free
13 -17 years     $ 11.50
18 years and over     $ 17.50
Extended consultation extra fee     $ 15
Non Eligible
Under 13 years     Free
13 -17 years     $ 18
18 years and over     $ 25
Extended consultation extra fee     $ 20

Generally a consultation is 15 minutes long and is enough time to cover one issue.  If you would like to discuss multiple issues you will need to book an extended consultation in addition to your appointment.  Please don’t be offended by this – it is out of courtesy to others who will be kept waiting if your consultation goes over time.

18 years and over     $ 25
